Lord Marrowgar
/target Bone Spike
/startattack
As soon as he bone spikes people (1 person in 10man, 3 people in 25man) hit this targeting macro and free your fellow raiders. Make sure that your raid isn't too spread out -- otherwise you'll end up running all over the place to free people.
Make use of Deterrence when Sir-Whirls-a-Lot gets into your neighborhood in his phase two. Just don't blow it before you need it!
Lady Deathwhisper
For the adds, these are the targets we want to nuke. This macro will target them all appropriately and in appropriate prioritization. You specifically don't want to try and do physical damage to the Reanimated Fanatic which this macro specifically does not end up targeting.

Also, don't forget to occasionally toss a Vipersting on Lady Deathwhisper.

Thank you for these! I hope this helps our 25 man get through LD

ReplyDeleteViper Sting, even the improved will only drain a fixed amount of mana, and the amount is for lvl83 bosses only dependent on your hunters mana.
Tool tip says:
"Stings the target, draining 4% mana over 8 sec (up to a maximum of 8% of the caster's maximum mana), and energizing the Hunter equal to 300% of the amount drained. Only one Sting per Hunter can be active on any one target."
i.E.: Your Hunter has 15000 mana (raidbuffed)
8% of 15000 = 1200 (up to a maximum of 8% of the caster's maximum mana)
You get 300% of 1200 mana = 3x1200 = 3600 mana
Lady Deathwisper loses: 1200 Mana.
Not that much. For Dmg better use Serpent Sting, or an instant Shot, but if you need mana, it's okay to do so. I'd suggest you macro it, so you don't have to change targets.
This is true for all raidbosses with much more mana than you have^^
I loved your post about tanking pets, keep up the good work!
Thanks for the viper math. We actually used the logic in our 25 man raid. (With four hunters!)
ReplyDeleteI looked at the worldoflogs review of the raid and we all did use some viper stings to help out but we were mostly doing serpent stings.
These are great I've been looking for something to help my guild out with Lord Marrowgar! Thanks!
