By way of a status update to surprise no-one, I have not played World of Warcraft since 2016 or so. Much of that last year was much more casual than I had previously played. I also played in some of the retro servers Blizzard set up.
I am tempted to login again just to type /played on my characters. Kheldul the dwarven hunter was my first character and main character throughout my play. I did have a nine other well geared characters on the same server (Uther). I did enjoy my Draenei shaman, Khelark. She was pretty nicely outfit with gear as well. I believe at one tally of play-time I somehow had three years active. That's over maybe just four characters and from launch day to sometime in 2016 -- so about 12 real world years.
I didn't stalk the auction house but I'm sure there was plenty of downtime. Speaking of the auction house, I do recall that I had over a million gold when I stopped.
I didn't plan to stop. It just tailed off. I don't regret it.
Live well.
