tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4051177733784712522.post3516041217770262241..comments2023-10-30T03:13:28.183-04:00Comments on Hunter DPS: Hunter Ammunition - An Idea for Wow 6.0Unknownnoreply@blogger.comBlogger1125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4051177733784712522.post-71030049102612549542013-09-06T13:26:14.087-04:002013-09-06T13:26:14.087-04:00some great ideas - but I would have to say, some o...some great ideas - but I would have to say, some of the rounds you've dismissed seem to have been dismissed too quickly. for example, the concussive round - its already in game as a marksman ability. imo, its better suited to being an ammunition than a passive, purely because its not always appropriate. plus, you're trading in damage for the passive effect<br /><br />same with the other 3 you dismissed for pvp reasons - don't forget theres a damage trade in. this would probably still leave them overpowered, but even then, I think they could easily be balanced - instead of making every shot apply the effect, I can see three options:<br />1-instead of every shot, have a chance to apply the effect on each shot<br />2-shots apply (or have a chance to apply) a stacking debuff that only applies the actual effect when it hits the right number of stacks<br />3-only allow certain abilities to apply the effect<br /><br />obviously the numbers you're using aren't set in stone, but looking at it, the base aoe round seems to trump the survival spec version - I can't actually see any reason to use the survival version over the standard one. surely the survival version ought to be stronger than the standard (since not everyone will have it!), or if not, fill a different role?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
